School Counseling Grades 7-9

Welcome to my school counseling page. My name is Nate Althouse and I am the school counselor for grades 7-9. I have served in many different counseling roles over the years. I started as an elementary counselor in the Penns Valley Area School District. I was a visiting professor of counseling education at Bucknell University, and for five years I was an academic counselor and career coordinator for Penn State athletics. For the last decade I served as the athletic/community relations director for the District and now I am returning to my roots in counseling. 

 

My job is to help students create and maintain the best possible environment for personal growth and learning. There are a lot of stressors out there to deal with, and our students don't have to face them on their own. Whether it's dealing with academic struggles, improving communication with other students, or educating families about available mental health services, our department is here to help. 

 

I look forward to meeting all the students and helping in any way I can to make it a GREAT DAY TO BE A RAM!
