Hi, my name is Noel Godwin. I am originally from Boone, NC but I have also lived in Myrtle Beach, SC and most recently Auburn, AL. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a minor in math from Lees-McRae College. I have a Masters degree in Special Education from University of West Alabama. The 25-26 school year is my 7th year in education.

I teach Resource Math classes for 9-12 grade students. I also support some Algebra and Geometry courses. If you have any questions or concerns, I can be reached by email at [email protected].

Flexible Instructional Day (FID) Expectations

FIDs will be called when there is an anticipated school closure with at least 48 hours advanced notice. Lessons will be prepared and shared with students in a live format via Zoom. Students with unreliable internet are expected to download any needed materials prior to the FID at the direction of the teacher so they can complete assignments on the day of the FID. Students are expected to sign in to Zoom at the beginning of class following their normal class schedule. Attendance will be taken in the Zoom room and instruction will be provided. If a student has unreliable internet and that has already been communicated to the district, Zoom attendance is not expected.

All assignments are due by the end of the day on a FID or the following day for students with unreliable internet and the inability to submit work virtually.

My class schedule is:

Resource Math (5th period) - 11:11-11:51

Resource Math (7th period) - 1:10-1:50

The Zoom link can be found on Schoology.

Virtual Instructional Day (VID) Expectations

VIDs are called when there is a school closure without advanced notice. Students are not required to Zoom at prescribed times, however work will be sent to complete during the VID. If students need assistance or have questions, I will be accessible at the following times via Zoom:

Office Hours:

9:30-10:30

1:30-2:30

I will also be available at 8:30, 11:30, and 3 if students need to check in via Zoom or email with quick questions.

The Zoom link can be found on Schoology.

Assignments for a VID are all due within 2 days of the VID, so attendance for class that day is solely based on work completion.
