About Me

I was hired at Penns Valley in January of 2021 right out of college. I graduated from California University of Pennsylvania in the Winter of 2020 with a Bachelors of Science in Education with a certificate in K-12 Technology Education and a Minor in Mathematics. I grew up in Greensburg PA and graduated from Hempfield Area Senior High School in 2017. 

 

I decided to pursue technology education because the hands on, in depth learning that takes place in these classes which can't be recreated in any other class. My best analogy for some of the things that we do in technology education is... You can watch someone drive a car, simulate it through video games or software, and read about driving cars but until you get behind the wheel you can't drive a car. Technology education uses so many tools, software, and thinking processes that until students take the time to try them out for themselves they seem impossible. I really enjoy giving students opportunities to use such powerful technology in our classrooms to prepare them for their future careers.
