About Me

Hello, I am Dina Howell, and I teach 7th & 8th grade Reading Workshop and 7th Grade Read 180. I am a certified reading specialist and special education teacher with 33 years of teaching experience. I completed my undergraduate degree at Clarion University, and received my master's degree in reading from Edinboro University. I am a certified PACE (Processing and Cognitive Enhancement) trainer working with students with processing disorders, as well as a member of the Tier II team for School Wide Positive Behavior Support (SWPBS).

My family came to Penns Valley in 1999 when my husband, John, was hired as the vocational agriculture teacher. We live on a small farm here in Spring Mills, where we board horses and enjoy our cat. We have one daughter, Moriah; who is married, and is currently living and working in Maryland.
