About Me

Hello, I am Dina Howell, and I teach 7th & 8th grade Reading Workshop and PACE. I am a certified reading specialist and special education teacher with 31 years of teaching experience. I completed my undergraduate degree at Clarion University, and received my master's degree in reading from Edinboro University. I am a certified PACE (Processing and Cognitive Enhancement) trainer working with students with processing disorders, as well as the junior high coach on the School Wide Positive Behavior Support (SWPBS) team.
My family came to Penns Valley in 1999 when my husband, John, was hired as the vocational agriculture teacher. We live on a small farm here in Spring Mills, where we board horses and enjoy our pets. We have one daughter, Moriah; who is married, and is currently living and working in Maryland.

Hello Parents & Students,
This information is to be used on days that we are not able to meet in person due to a snow day or a state of emergency. On those days, please sign into our Schoology Course and read the assignment listed in the gray Flexible Instruction Day (FID) Folder. The assignment will also be posted on the 7th Grade Communication Board or the 8th Grade HW board.
This ZOOM link will allow you to meet with me during my office hours if you need help, or have any clarifying questions. My office hours are 9:00-10:00 am and 1:00-2:00 pm.
