Sasha Althouse

Educational Bio


I have my bachelor’s degree in Special Education from California University of Pennsylvania. I have my master’s degree in Curriculum and Design from Wilkes University. I also have my high school English certification and my Reading Specialist certification.


I began my teaching career here at Penns Valley. This is my fifteenth year at PVHS. I currently teach the Read 180 classes for grades 7-12.


At Penns Valley I offer presentations on differentiated instruction. I work with both veteran and new teachers.


I am also the Transition Coordinator for the Penns Valley High School. I help to coordinate activities for learning support students to help pursue their postsecondary and employment goals.

Currently, I am the co-advisor for the Student Council.
